Competition Teams (Ages 11-16)

Benefits to being on the Competitive Cheer Team:
Cognitive development-being able to memorize a routine
Confidence-building self-confidence, forming friendships and building bonds.
Learning balance and coordination through tumbling, jumps and dancing.
Building muscle strength through stunting, core building and conditioning.
Levels
Starlets-(Ages 9-14)
Tumbling-Each child must know how to do a summer salt, or a split.
(both is a plus)
Dancing- Each child must be able to follow a routine
stunting experience is a plus but not required.
Supernova-(Ages 11-16)
Tumbling- Each child must know how to do a cartwheel, and or a split. (back handspring, or a round off back handspring)
Jumps-Each child must demonstrate three different jumps (pointed toes, landing with feet together is encouraged)
Stunts-Each child must demonstrate level 2 stunts (examples prep level with variations that include a connecting stunt).
Dance-Each child must demonstrate an average understanding of motion technique (sharpness/arm placement).
Please note: age and levels may change depending on the amount of kids.
